1. Tell me about your story

Start by filling out the Request Form. Tell me about your genre, your vision, and your goals. Upload a 1,000-word sample of your manuscript. I will review and edit the sample at no cost to determine if we are a good fit before moving forward.

2. Pick your package

Select the package you’d like. I offer affordable flat-rate services because your story deserves care without overwhelming costs.

After reviewing your sample, I may recommend additional or alternative services that would better benefit your story.  I will always discuss recommendations with you. Your voice and vision come first.

3. Confirmation & Payment

If we feel we are a good match, I will send you a Service Agreement with an invoice. 

To reserve your service, a deposit of 50% is due upon submission of the Service Agreement. Editing will begin when payment is received. See Additional Info below for more information regarding payments and refunds. 

4. Editing begins

Revisions will be made according to The Chicago Manual of Style. If you have a different style guide you’d like to follow, please let me know. 

Because I approach each word with careful attention, please allow at least 6 weeks for completion. Longer manuscripts or heavier edits will require additional time to ensure your story receives the care it deserves.

5. Review the edits

Review the suggested edits and give any feedback you’d like so I can adjust as needed. 

After the first pass, I offer additional revisions at no cost based on the package to make sure it’s exactly what you want. After that, any additional passes may require a small fee. I will work with you until you’re completely satisfied with each service.

6. Final Payment

The remaining balance is due within 10 business days of receiving the first pass. Any additional edits will be made after final payment is received.

Experience

I am a self-published author, lifelong writer, and professional editor with a deep respect for the power of words. Writing has been part of my life since childhood. Although I ventured into a different career, my love of words never left. I got a certificate in proofreading and dived deeper into editing and publishing. 

As both a writer and an editor, I understand how personal a manuscript is. My approach is thoughtful and thorough. I specialize in fiction and faith-centered writing, offering careful edits that strengthen your story without stripping it of meaning or emotion.

All revisions are suggestions. This is your story, your voice, and your vision. When I suggest an edit, I will explain how it benefits your story, but you hold the power to accept or decline any change I recommend. 

Refunds

If you need to cancel before editing has begun, I will refund your deposit in full. If you cancel after editing has begun, I reserve the right to retain the deposit to cover the time and effort already invested in editing your work. 

If for any reason I am unable to complete editing services, you will receive a full refund.
